RKINA Holds Board Officers Seminar

During February 21-22, Rissho Kosei-kai International of North America (RKINA) held a seminar for board members of Rissho Kosei-kai in the United States at the RKINA Buddhist Center in Irvine, California.
The seminar aimed to provide board officers of eight corporations promoting Rissho Kosei-kai's faith in the United States with basic knowledge of corporate administration and management. The seminar also aimed to help them understand the board's role in promoting dissemination of the Dharma in the U.S. Twenty-eight people participated in the seminar, including the heads of Dharma Centers, board chairs and members, and the officers from eight corporations.
Rev. Shoko Mizutani, director of RKINA, addressed the participants on the role of RKINA, while Rev. Yukimasa Hagiwara, deputy director of Rissho Kosei-kai International at the organization's headquarters in Tokyo, gave a talk on the significance and role of the boards of Rissho Kosei-kai. The participants heard lectures by RKINA's lawyer and accountant on the details of legal and accounting matters.
