A Seminar for Dharma Dissemination Leaders Held at Rissho Kosei-kai International of South Asia in Bangkok

March 2017

The Intensive Seminar for the Dharma Dissemination Leaders in South Asia was held as part of educational study programs at Rissho Kosei-kai International of South Asia (RKISA) in Bangkok, Thailand from March 24-26, 2017. The seminar was attended by 33 leading members from eight RKK branches in six South Asia countries: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Cambodia and Singapore.

Rev. Aritomi, Minister of Bangladesh Dharma Center, and Rev. Shimamura, Director of Rissho Kosei-kai International of South Asia Center, gave lectures regarding “How to operate/conduct hoza (Dharma circle or group counseling) effectively” and “ Musubi (Dharma guidance) practice in hoza sessions,” using various concrete case studies as practical examples. Participants were divided into several groups, where they together talked, discussed and exchanged opinions on how to deal with/undertake musubi (Dharma guidance) practice under the guidance of ministers and through the teaching of the ‘Four Noble Truths’. They enthusiastically studied how to operate a hoza session to make full use of the teachings of Buddhism and put those teachings into practice in their everyday lives.
