Policy on the Protection of Personal Information
Rissho Kosei-kai (hereinafter referred to as “the Organization”) considers it our responsibility to protect and manage, in a safe and appropriate manner, the personal information entrusted to us. To fulfill this responsibility, we have established this Policy on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) and will collect and handle personal information only to the extent necessary.
１． Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The Organization collects and uses personal information mainly for the following purposes:
- To manage information related to applications for events and member registration
- To provide various services, communicate information related to those services, and manage information such as usage history
- To conduct research and analysis for the smooth operation and improvement of the Organization’s activities and projects
- To provide information about activities and events and to request participation in questionnaires
- To respond to various inquiries
- To perform all duties incidental or related to the purposes listed above
２．Security Measures for Personal Information
The Organization takes the following security management measures when handling personal information:
- Establishing standards, manuals, and other rules related to personal information
- Providing regular training to the Organization’s staff
- Conducting regular audits concerning the handling of personal information
- Establishing selection criteria and other standards for contractors
- Implementing reasonable security measures to prevent risks such as unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage
- Complying with laws and regulations applicable to personal information, government guidelines, and other applicable standards
- Appropriately operating information security measures, carrying out necessary controls, continuously reviewing them, and implementing corrective measures
３． Outsourcing and Supervising Contractors
The Organization may outsource part of its operations for the purposes of use described above and may provide personal information to contractors only to the extent necessary to achieve those purposes. The Organization selects contractors that have adequate measures in place for handling personal information and, in addition to entering into necessary agreements, appropriately manages and supervises those contractors.
４． Disclosure and Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Organization will not disclose or provide personal information entrusted to it to any third party except in any of the following cases. Please note that provision of personal information to contractors as described above does not constitute disclosure or provision to a third party.
- Cases in which the individual has given consent
- Cases in which disclosure or provision is requested within the scope permitted by applicable laws and regulations
- Cases in which it is necessary to protect an individual’s life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
- Cases in which it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency or other public body in carrying out public duties, and notifying the individual of the purpose of use or publicly announcing it is likely to interfere with the performance of those duties
- Other cases in which the purpose of use is evident from the circumstances under which the personal information was obtained
５．Inquiries, Corrections, and Deletion of Personal Information
If an individual requests an inquiry, correction, deletion, or other action concerning his or her personal information, we will respond to the request to a reasonable extent.
６．Changes to the Policy
The Organization will review, as appropriate, its practices concerning the handling of personal information and may revise this Policy as necessary as part of its efforts toward continuous improvement. Any changes will be announced on the Organization’s Website (https://www.kosei-kai.or.jp/) and will take effect upon publication.
