The ceremony concluded with one recipient expressing appreciation and pledging to spread the Dharma.

Gohonzon is a term denoting a focus of devotion in many forms of Japanese Buddhism. In Rissho Kosei-kai, it is an image of the Eternal Buddha Shakyamuni for enshrinement on members' Buddhist home altars.
